If 2020’s Given You Lemons, It’s Time To Make Some Lemonade

It has been a difficult year, but there is still time to make the most of it.

Back in January, I talked about what an awesome year 2020 was going to be.

After all, I said, 2020 isn’t just any ordinary year. It’s the beginning of a whole new decade, and a chance to go full tilt for the success you’ve always wanted to achieve. What could possibly go wrong?

As predictions go, that wasn’t my finest moment.

Thanks to COVID-19, this has been one of the worst years many of us can remember. It’s certainly been a catastrophic year for a lot of businesses. Companies are going bust or being forced to reduce their workforce, unemployment figures have skyrocketed, and a lot of people have already been made redundant or are facing the genuine possibility they might lose their jobs in the near future. Over the last eight months, the world has become a substantially more uncertain place.

So, if you’ve suddenly found yourself in the unfortunate position of being out of work, or if you think you might find yourself in that position over the next few weeks or months, what can you do to improve your situation? Especially if you’re finding yourself at a career crossroads and you’ve got no idea what to do next?
